At Four Twelve, we are committed to only using top-of-the-line shingles and accessories to ensure your shingle roof is cost effective, and long-lasting. Many companies offer clients 25 Year 3 Tab Shingles but at Four Twelve we prefer premium 50 Year Shingles because they provide greater protection and longevity, including 130 mph wind rating vs the 60 mph wind rating of 25 Year Shingles. 50 Year Shingles have significant weather protection thanks to their lamination on either side and stacked two shingles high.
Because Four Twelve wants to provide our clients with the best materials, we exclusively use Owens Corning shingles during our installation projects. As the inventors of fiberglass insulation, Owens Cornings is an American institution with an 80 year legacy of producing top notch shingles. Owens Corning shingles are recognized industry-wide for their excellent selection of colors and accessories that help extend the life of your roof, such as kevlar reinforced nailing strips. We utilize synthetic underlayment over traditional felt because it is more difficult to tear, and keeps moisture out much better. Another essential piece is your roof ventilation system. One of the most detrimental mistakes we see has been made when conducting a roof replacement is the lack of proper ridge vents and eave vents. These vents help to stop the build up of moisture in your attic, which if left unchecked can result in substantial damage to your roof deck.
