Four Twelve Roofing received an assignment in late-2019 to re-roof a historic property in the Waverly neighborhood of Baltimore City. This was a unique project, in which we were thrilled to participate. The client (similar to the team at Four Twelve) truly appreciated historic Baltimore housing – for this reason, they wanted a roof that spoke of character and was an homage to the original aesthetic of the house. Through a detailed design process, Four Twelve was able to work with the client to give them a project that appropriately showcased this historic Baltimore home.
For this project, the client selected a specialty shingle called the Owens Corning Berkshire Collection, in a color of Manchester Gray. Additionally, we did all the valleys in metal trim to emulate the old galvanized metal historic look. As a part of the project, Four Twelve replaced the main roof, a small flat roof, the garage roof, and installed new historic skylights.
Four Twelve Roofing received an assignment in the summer of 2019 to re-roof a warehouse just off the Jones Falls in the Hampden neighborhood of Baltimore City. This was a unique project, in which we were thrilled to participate. The client had a large roof that had presented leaks for a significant period of time. In order to appease their tenants, they needed a new roof for an affordable price – but also could not compromise quality on the project. Four Twelve listened to their concerns and gave them a number of options, given their budget. And was able to deliver them a quality roof that should last them 15-20 years.
For this project, the client selected a modified bitumen flat roofing product manufactured by MuleHide Products, in white asphalt color. We also custom manufactured commercial grade parapet cap flashing in white aluminum to keep the new roof securely fastened to the building, and improve the longevity of the installation. This roofing project was a total of 7,200 square feet in size with roughly 300 linear feet of metalwork around the perimeter. We were proud to deliver this project to a community business owner, and are proud to present it here as a case study.
